Strong competition will be anticipated from the Royal Cork entrants for the Irish Sailing Championships at Lough Derg. The event will once again be sailed in the Sailfleet J80s.The Club will be represented by Mark Mansfield, Anthony O’Leary and George Kenefick all three of whom will pose a formidable threat to the remaining 13 competitors, a somewhat reduced fleet from previous years. The reigning champion, Nicholas O’Leary, will not be defending his title that he has won for the past three years.
