National Marine College at Ringaskiddy for RCYC members on  Sat March 5, 2011.


UPGRADE FROM VHF RADIO TO DSC
Sat 19th Feb 2011 at Kinsale Outdoor Education Centre, St John’s Hill, Kinsale

This course is presented by Victor Fusco and prepares you for certification for DSC from the Department of Marine.
You must already have the older VHF Restricted Licence or FRC 1 to take this course.

The cost per person is €175 which included examiner fees and cost of certification by the Department.
You must bring your FRC 1 or VHF Cert with you to the course, and proof of identity such as passport or birth certificate and two passport sized photos.

The course will run from 9.30 to 5.30  The examination which takes place after course is on an individual basis and takes about 15 minutes.

There are only 12 places on this course.

SURVIVAL AT SEA
A bespoke personal survival course is being run by the
National Marine College at Ringaskiddy for RCYC members on  Sat March 5, 2011.

This is a full-day course developed for members and will cover all the practical aspects of use of safety equipment and how to improve your chances of survival at sea.
Previous sea survival courses at the college have been reported by members to be tremendously valuable and informative.
Cost per person is €210 and attendance is limited to 12 participants
