Saturday was the first away event of the year for the topper fleet in a windy Galway Bay. 5 sailors sailed under the Royal Cork Yacht Club burgee and 4 more RCYC members sailed under their home WHSC burgee. It was a great experience for all the sailors, with windy conditions on a sea with a good swell topped with a lot of chop, as you might expect with Westerlies in Galway Bay.
The 9 sailors were Ella O’Neill (1st >14girl), Joe O’Sullivan (3rd >14boys), Shane Collins (winner 4.2 fleet), Muireann Fitzpatrick, Rian Collins, Eoin Byrne, Max Passberger (2nd overall), Isabelle Passberger, and Fionn Lynch.
