The Pinnacle of Autumn Sailing is on us with the start of the O’Flynn Exham Autumn League on Sunday

The year the organisers have set up racing so that there will be a boat start for both the Red and Green Fleets. This Sunday it will be the turn of the Red Fleet to sail the harbour course.

A new enhanced set of courses is now part of the sailing Instructions and can be found in Appendix C. Also note for the Whitesail fleets there will be five races for the series instead of ten following upon requests from some members of the fleets, with a maximum of two races to be sailed on any one day. Also note that breakfast will not be available at the club house but tea, scones etc, will be available from a mobile catering facility on site prior to racing.

Another exciting point of interest is that it is expected there will be a good number of 1720s competing and it will be nice to see this Sportboat Class back in its Cork Harbour home.

A superb array of a total of 288 prizes awaits the competitors and all that remains now is to wish everybody fair sailing and hope the Weather Gods will look kindly upon the event.
