Teenage Kicks – Royal Cork Style

The May bank holiday weekend acted as good a reason as any for our teenage members (and some helpful parents) to take a trip around Cork harbour. Twelve teens from topper, laser, and mixed dinghy fleets explored the harbour and in particular searched for the ‘hidden harbour’ apparently located behind the oil refinery. The search was in vain and instead found an old swimming pool……..

Next stop was aghada for sweets before heading back via Cobh for brunch in the club. Unfortunately flat calm seas conditions were not conducive to wave hopping of any description despite best efforts. Special thanks Anna Marie Fegan and Gail Enright , laser and mixed dinghy class captains respectively , for organising the welcome spin out.
