Well, if it was thrills and spills on Wednesday, I think Friday was shock and awe. Three enthusiastic boats took to the water in beautiful sunshine and 20 knots of
breeze, a perfect evening for sailing. Keith with his able assistants gave us a great coarse around perches, red marks, green marks and super yachts! Beats, reaches, runs in abundance. Started adjacent to Cage, beat to Perch, run to No.8, close hauled to round the magnificent super-yacht ‘AIR’ (http://afloat.ie/port-news/cruise-liners/item/18629-super-yacht-air-sails-into-cork-harbour) who I think thought we were go to come aboard, there were a few anxious face pressed against her plate glass windows and a crew member ready to fend off astern! then a screecher downwind to No.7 and back to Cage. Well done to all for getting round, unfortunately all registered a DNF. Badger, Happy days and Oystercatcher took part.
