Seafra Guilfoyle wins Optimist Connachts

Fresh from his successful exploits at the European Championships, Seafra Guilfoyle won his third regional championship (out of three) in Galway at the weekend. Patrick Crosbie was third on a count back and John Durcan finished in 5^th – also on a count back. Julie Power had an excellent 4^th in the senior silver fleet at 14^th overall out of an entry of 53 boats.

In the junior division (59 entries), Sophie Browne and Daire Cournane were 2^nd and 3^rd respectively while Jil McGinley was 2^nd Silver in 10^th overall.
