Sixth class pupils from the Crosshaven schools finished their end of year sailing course at the Royal Cork with a Rib Cruise to Spike Island. Great fun was had by all as the weather held up for a most interesting tour of the island conducted by Tom O’Neill. Our thanks to Tom and to the three school principals for their continued support. We look forward to hosting this course again next year. The aim of the course is to give a basic appreciation of boat handling skills and a sense of the fun to be had in involvement in watersports for primary school pupils before they head to secondary level.
