This year we are delighted to announce that the annual Coolmore to Club Junior Dinghy Race 2023 will take place on Saturday 3rd June 2023.
When: Saturday Evening 3rd June 2023
First Gun: TBC – High Tide 1745hrs and first gun will be timed accordingly. Our Admiral Kieran O’Connell & Rear Admiral of Dinghies Maurice Collins will start this years Race in an innovative way. You need to be at the briefing to find out how!!!

Prizes: Junior Crews will be eligible for the coveted Coolmore Cup . We will also have fun prizes such as best dressed helm & crew, youngest helm to name only two!
This years race is being organised by Jim Hughes. Jims ethos for the race is that he wants as many boats on the water as possible. If it floats, get it out! This is a fun race run by the club for its junior and youth sailors but we would love to see families and friends together on the water. We want to see Mums & Dads (as crews), and we want to encourage the youths to take the helm. It is not all about who comes first, there will be a mix of prizes, from the best turned out boat, the best dressed crew, to the youngest helm to mention a few.
We are seeking to grow the paddle Board/Kayak participation. More to follow, but for those with paddle boards and Kayaks, rest assured an orientation race is being prepared!!.
