More than 30 junior Club members turned up last Saturday morning for Darren O’Keeffe’s much anticipated beginner sessions and despite a misty start to the day, they were not disappointed. Volunteers from the optimist fleet brought their own boats out on the river to give the youngsters a feel for helming. For many it was their first time in a dinghy but they were well able for the challenge and everyone came in smiling. Thanks to Darren and his boys Ryan, Killian and Conor for facilitating these sessions.
