Safety Notice – Glandore Visitor Moorings – Update

The Irish Naval Yacht Squadron divers checked and subsequently used the two remaining moorings over the weekend and deemed them to be safe.

It has been brought to our attention by the Glandore Harbour Yacht Club that the County Council/Board Failte Visitor Moorings are NOT good to use. Of the original six that were laid four have gone adrift over the winter, leaving the remaining two suspect. The Union Hall County Council Pier Constable is advising sailors not to use these moorings.
