Safeguarding for volunteers

RCYC have a range of policies in place in to comply with Irish Sailing & Sports Ireland policies and Irish Government legislation in relation to child protection of junior members at the club.

In pursuant of these policies, RCYC requires all volunteers and staff appointed to any of the junior committees to hold a current Garda Vetting clearance certificate and a current Safeguarding 1 certificate.

RCYC also encourages all adult volunteers that regularly support junior dinghy sailing to get Garda Vetted and attend the Safeguarding 1 course.

The following relating documents can be found in the RCYC Club Policies area on the club website.
