To-day Saturday saw a pot-pourri of sailing in the harbour. We had the first day of the 420 Nationals, the first day of the Feva Munsters, the RCYC Champion of Champions in the J80 Sailfleet and some members of the National 18 fleet found their way to Cobh to sail in the Ballinacurra Cup.
There was a westerly breeze from a constant direction and there was plenty of great racing to be witnessed. Certainly the 420’s were very eager and general recalls were in abundance on the day.

The harbour was fully alive with two liners visiting Cobh and Ringaskiddy where the Pont Avent also arrived and departed again on her regular Roscoff run. The sleepy village of Crosshaven came to life with a triathlon where the swimmers were being ferried by boat to Currabinny from whence they were to swim back to the Hugh Coveney Pier and a vintage car rally was visiting Crosshaven so all in all there was lots to see and do.
