This weekend, our topper fleet will travel en masse to Ballyholme yacht club in order to prepare for the upcoming 2016 Topper World Championships. The event will run from Saturday 23rd to Friday 29th July, with close to two hundred competitors from Ireland , the U.K. and the rest of the world expected to arrive at the East County Down club before the start date.
Our Royal cork Topper sailors have left no stone unturned in terms of preparation, thanks to class captain Brian Jones who has driven the fleet activity since early this year. All our Topper squad sailors can be spotted around the club in recent weeks sporting very nice team jackets (thanks also to Topper mum Jo Ann Carroll for organising).
We wish all club members who will be competing and representing Ireland and the Royal Cork, the very best of luck and hope they enjoy their couple of weeks sailing out of Ballyholme Y.C.
