Royal Cork Feva Fleet Revival

Notice to all those Royal Cork Feva sailors out there, past and present.

We are trying to revive our own Feva fleet. For anyone that may be interested please contact Gail Enright at gail@michaelenright.ie. If anyone is interested in the training clinic below we might try and get a RCYC group together.

The RS Feva Ireland Association is holding its first training clinic of 2016 in the Royal St. George Yacht Club, from March 20th – 22nd. This clinic will be headed up by the Feva Class Coach, Stephen Craig, with the assistance of a number of other ex Feva sailors. It is open to sailors from all clubs and of all abilities. They already have sailors from Dun Laoghaire, Greystones and Malahide planning on taking part and it would be great to see sailors from other parts of the country too. They will have separate on and off the water coaching sessions for more experienced Feva sailors who want to improve their boat handling and tactical skills and for those who are new or newer to the class and want to learn how to sail Fevas. The sessions will run from 11.30am – 4.30pm each day with pasta available after sailing, but please bring a packed lunch to have before heading out and plenty of water. A notebook and pen are also required as well as plenty of warm clothes as it can still be very cold at this time of year. This clinic is being subsidised by the Feva Association. The cost for the three day clinic is only €60 per sailor (or €25 per day if not doing all three days), as we want to encourage as many sailors as possible to use this clinic to kick start their Feva season! The registration form is available on the RSGYC website, or you can access it through the link below:

Also attached is a copy of the schedule of Feva events for the season so you can put the dates in your sailing calendars. All of the clinics will be open to sailors from any club so if you are interested in travelling to any of them you would be warmly welcomed. In particular, we would love to get as many sailors as possible taking part in the Feva Nationals in Greystones from July 18th – 20th which promises to be a great event in terms of both the sailing and social aspects.
