Shoreside Programme

Sunday 29th August 2010

2pm – Crab Fishing for 7 yrs & under off the Western Marina
3pm –Spud & Spoon Race on the lawn

From 3pm to 5pm we will be entertained by the Band of the First Southern Brigade under the baton of Capt Brian Prendergast. This is always a delightful treat to get the toes tapping, the bodies swaying and gets everybody into party mood.

4pm –Tug of War for Juniors & Seniors on the lawn, 10 yrs & up.
4pm – Afternoon tea will be served on the terrace by the ladies!
5pm –The hotly contested Admirals boules match

Prizes & Trophies for all the winners will be presented.  Prizes have once again been very generously sponsored by Neville Jewellers.

The Admiral’s Lady, Olga, and her team of tea ladies would be very appreciative of your usual very generous contributions of sandwiches and cakes for the famed At Home Afternoon Tea to be served by the ladies on the terrace on Sunday. (The Ritz has nothing on this!) Contributions may be handed in to the club house any time on Sunday. There will be a special childrens’ corner with tasty bites.
In these difficult times the Club still has so much to celebrate this year  and thanks to our usual generous sponsor of the event, John Neville of Neville Jewellers, we will party on the lawn, meet old friends and swop stories, while celebrating the wonderful year of sailing success we have had to date.
