With the Rankin ‘‘Worlds’’ now just days away, preparations are well underway for what promises to be another fantastic gathering of the Rankin fleet at RCYC on 27th–28th June.

Registration will take place on Friday 26th June from 18:30–20:00 hrs, with boats and sailors arriving and gathering at RCYC. Registration will also be available on Saturday morning from 09:30 hrs.

The schedule for Saturday is:
Skippers’ briefing: 10:30 hrs
First gun: 12:00 noon

We are planning for three races on Saturday and two races on Sunday, with a 12:00 noon start again on Sunday.

The aim is to provide a fun and enjoyable series of races, with potential beach starts and river finishes showcasing the unique character of the Rankin dinghy and creating a memorable experience for sailors and spectators alike.

The prize-giving is expected to take place at approximately 16:30 hrs on Sunday afternoon.

To help celebrate the occasion, a display of vintage cars is organised alongside the Rankin fleet, adding to what should be a great weekend celebrating these traditional Cobh-built clinker dinghies.

We look forward to welcoming sailors, owners and visitors to RCYC for the 2026 Rankin ‘’Worlds’’ and celebrating another memorable event for the class.
