The annual race to Aghada took place on Saturday with the dinghies competing for two beautiful trophies, the ‘Dognose’ for the N18 class and ‘Miss Betty’ for the mixed dinghies. Continuing the half century old tradition, the dinghies started at No5 for a long lap to No14 and back, then on to Aghada. First across the finish line for the 18s was Colin Barry with crew Paul Cotter and Shane Dunlea. Rebecca O’Shaughnessy won on PY for the mixed dinghies in her laser 4.7. Everyone tied up in Aghada and enjoyed some refreshments in Rosies before the dinghies were towed back home. A great day out and well done to everyone who participated.
