Final placings to-day (Sat) from the International Star Class Bacardi Cup after six races show the French team pipping Peter O’Leary and David Burrows into second pace by a single point.
Consistency was the order of the event for the Irish pairing and they were the only team in the 93 boat fleet of world class sailors to complete each race with a result in single figures. Truly a magnificent display in this fleet. First 12 results below:

After five races and counting one discard of 8th place in race 4 to-day, the Cork/Dublin duo of Peter O’Leary and David Burrows having finished fourth in race 5, are now the current leaders in the prestigious 93 boat fleet at the Bacardi Cup 2011. With two races still to be sailed in the competition we salute their excellent and outstanding consistent performance and wish them well for tomorrow (Sat).
