Official Launch of Calves Week 2012

The Official Launch of Calves Week to be sponsored by Cork Dry Gin took place at Blackrock Castle yesterday.  The Cork Dry Gin Calves Week 2012 new compact format will consist of a four day racing series, including a race around the Fastnet Rock on Thursday August 9th.  This race will form part of the SCORA Offshore Series. The event will take place from August 7th to 10th to allow for visiting yachts to take part in the local regattas of Baltimore, Crookhaven and Schull.

Speaking about the CDC sponsorship Alan Dwyer, Schull Harbour SC Commodore said “we are delighted to have such a prestigious brand sponsoring this year’s event.  The new series will create a real buzz around Schull with prize giving every night in the village.  There will also be plenty of fun and activity on shore to ensure everybody has an enjoyable week”.
