NEVILLE JEWELLERS AT HOME REGATTA DAY ONE

Mixed And Matched From The Oldest Ladies Of the Cork Harbour One Design Class to The Young Bloods Sailing Their Fevas and Optimists

Saturday provided a splendid day of racing for all fleets with the cruisers racing outside the harbour and use was made of the newly laid marks.  With the westerly breeze the bigger boats were sent down to the Pollock Rock and the dinghies sailed inside the harbour.

To-morrow, Sunday, will see the highlights of the At Home.

The festivities will follow early racing, and the Motor Boat and RIB treasure hunt, with a fun and entertainment day for all the families from the Grandparents to the babies in buggies and the family pooches.   Hopefully the rain will keep away. Maybe the sun will shine while the Butter Exchange Band will entertain with their usual excellent selection of airs while afternoon tea is enjoyed on the lawn or under the new outside covered patio dining area.  There will be a crab fishing competition, egg and spoon races, a tug-O-war, one metre yacht racing and the highlight of the afternoon’s entertainment the Admirals’ Boules match.

The prize giving is scheduled for 5 pm.
