Saturday day one of the two day event had a brisk breeze while today (Sun) produced some more sunshine with lighter wind for the competitors on the water.
Today was a day for the families who all had a most enjoyable day at the club with entertainment from the Carrigaline Pipe Band, bouncing castles, tug o’war,
the intense competition of the admirals and former admirals boules (with some protests)
and the usual sumptious fare provided by the Admiral’s Lady and her band of willing helpers.
The piéce de resitance was the Optimist parents race which had to be witnessed to be understood. The olympic style tactics of Rear Admiral Larrie Martin and Tom Durcan with tongue hanging out had to be seen to be believed! The finale was the prizegiving presided over by the Admiral with the vouchers presented by the Sponsor and Club Member John Neville.
