On next Monday October 11 Eddie English and his crew from SailCork will begin the winter series of evening Navigation Classes at the Royal Cork Yacht Club. These courses are designed with you, the members, in mind. While the Yachtmaster course is an advanced course for those with previous experience in navigation, the Day Skipper course is designed for those with little or no experience or on the improver ladder – and that includes crew, spouses, partners and friends!
These courses are about a lot more than just navigation with weather forecasting, electronic nav, safety and seamanship skills featuring strongly. The courses are an ideal way to take in the information on sailing in a relaxed, enjoyable way increasing your ability on board and giving you that necessary edge in safety afloat. From parents struggling to understand their offsprings sailing to the skipper planning a European cruise or chartering abroad – there is a place for you at the clubs series of navigation courses.
On completion of all courses at the end of Feb, students will receive the RYA Certificate in Navigation.
The courses begin in less than a week – Royal Cork Members booking before 16:00 on Friday next Oct 8 will receive a SailCork voucher for €50
