N18 INVITATION SERIES ANNOUNCED FOR PARENTS OF OPTIMIST SAILORS
An invitation series for optimist parents who currently or previously sailed dinghies has been organised to be held in tandem with the opening ceremony of the optimist nationals (being hosted by the Royal Cork) on the evening of Wednesday 13th August.
Guest helms and crew from various clubs throughout Ireland and possibly further afield will compete in the one design National 18 adult dinghy to establish which club has the most competitive optimist parents! . The format will consist of 2/3 short races in front of the Royal Cork club house and will be proceeded by a brief prize giving.
To date, eight helms from the various clubs have accepted their invitation to compete and we can look forward to a high standard of competition.
