Five fantastic Wednesday evenings of National 18 sailing saw in excess of twelve boats take to the start line for their May midweek league.
Under the watchful eye of race officer Dave O Brien, both the Ultra and Ultimate fleets enjoyed tight racing across twelve races. It was nip and tuck right up to the last race with Ewen Barry , Stan Browne and Dion Barrett managing to take the overall honours. Tommy Dwyer, Peter O Donovan and Charlie Moloney finished a close second with Colin Chapman, Morgan O’ Sullivan and Ronan Walsh finishing third.
The fleet will now have a busy month of June with continued mid week league racing , harbour trophy races including the annual race to Ballincurra, before closing the month out with their National Championships as part of this years Dinghy Fest in home waters.
