East Down Yacht Club played host to the first of the Topper traveler events for 2016 and while many of our fleet decided to stay put, Mia Murphy was our sole club member who traveled the distance and took a deserved podium finish.
A very competitive fleet of thirty four Toppers battled in mixed conditions and in the end Mia finished second overall. Well done Mia.
The next traveler event is scheduled for Lough Derg over the weekend of the 23rd/24th April and we look forward to another strong performance from our Royal Cork Topper sailors.
