Conditions may have been miserable for a May evening but the large fleet in the McWilliam Sailmakers May League enjoyed great sailing. They were sent on course 72 but surprisingly despite the Northerly air stream that has persisted for some time, the sea was unusually lumpy outside the Forts. Competitors had somewhat of a bumpy ride from there out as far as W2.
