This Saturday, the annual Monkstown Bay Sailing Club ‘at home’ regatta takes place and the finer points relevant to all dinghy classes are detailed below.
All Royal Cork Dinghies launch from club @ 1.15 pm sharp – Start line will be situated in front of MBSC with F.G. scheduled @ 14.25 for optimists, followed by separate start for Mixed Dinghies. There will be prizes presented for each of the dinghy classes.
A full BBQ will be available after racing in Monkstown club house – cost is very reasonable @ €5 and would encourage as many of our dinghy sailors as possible to travel. Club boats , Adriele & Nemo, along with club RIBS will be on hand to tow all sailors home after racing & BBQ. There will be no club dinghy league racing on this Saturday to accommodate all those dinghy sailors travelling to this ‘at home’ regatta.
