First report from the Royal Cork Yacht Club team sailing in the Dennis Conner International Yacht Club Invitational.
On Day One of the event August 15th, Sinéad Enright reports the team sailed three windward/leeward races all with a leeward leg to start. Conditions were very tricky with shifty winds and strong currents and also a very large amount of commercial traffic to avoid. RCYC had a 7th out of 20 finish for this race. In Race 2 the team were in second place but lost out at the mark and could not recover in time to get a finish. In the final race of the day, Race 3, the team posted a 5th place.
