RCYC Sailors Conor Lyden and Peter Stokes in third position overall in the Allen RS Feva European Championships at Lake Garda.
Conor Lyden and Peter Stokes maintained their excellent form at the Allen RS Feva European Championships .The reigning RS Feva Irish National Champions are well in the hunt after day three of racing are counting a 6th from the qualifying series, with a 10th and a 1st in testing conditions today. With no discard applied at this stage they are lying 3rd overall in the gold fleet. They had to contend with two more protests against them today, both of which were thrown out.
Viki and Jane Cudmore from RCYC made an excellent start to the qualifying series with some very good sailing, but have found consistency to be difficult to achieve in the gold fleet, but have shown the ability to improve on this. They are in 40th position after day three.
Brendan Lyden and Marc Cudmore make up the third boat from RCYC and Ireland competing and are unlucky not to make the gold fleet. They are in 1st position in the silver fleet after day three. (In the first race of the series they crossed the line in 4th place but were disqualified in this race after a protest against them for a windward leeward incident on the start line was upheld. A redress hearing was held but did not overturn the original decision).
