Cadets and JSA applications are now live on Smart. Entry closes 12.00noon on Sunday 14th May. These initiatives form part of our overall Youth Pathway . Please note that numbers will be somewhat restricted therefore applications will be on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
Cadets:
The Cadet programme is aimed at 6-12 year old(primary school-going age bracket) members who would like to experience some fun based sailing activities on boats ranging from dinghies, kayaks and 1720 keelboat sailing boats. This programme is often the entry point for younger kids to help them get a feeling for sailing and fun on the water. Cadets is supervised by experienced coaches and no prior skills are required by entrants. This programme runs weekly on Monday evening.
Dates: Monday 22nd & Monday 29th May from 18.30 – 20.30hrs;
Time 18.30 – 20.30hrs
Please bring your own buoyancy aid and suitable clothing for going afloat as the Club is not in a position to provide these.

The ‘JSA’ provides an enjoyable entry point into or back into sailing for 12 – 16 year old secondary school going sailors. Activities include supervised fun sailing, exposure to various club boats from kayaks to 1720s, beach trips encompassing passage planning, weather & tide analysis etc. and overnight camping trips
The programme is a feeder back into the various fleets in the club from oppies through to keelboats. This programme runs Sunday mornings with signup on a monthly basis.
Dates: Sunday 21st & Sunday 28th May from 10.00 – 13.00hrs
Please bring your own buoyancy aid and suitable clothing for going afloat as the Club is not in a position to provide these.
