Day two of the Laser SB3 Championships at the National Yacht Club saw sunny but tactically testing conditions on Dublin Bay.

The 137 boat fleet was evenly split into two this morning (Tues) using seeding from overall scores from Monday. As a sea breeze kicked in over the course, sailors had to negotiate wind shifting through 40 degrees and a left over lumpy swell from Monday with an easing breeze offering less power with which to push through it. Of the Cork boats, taken from the NYC results sheet posted at 2100 hrs. Tuesday night, Peter O’Leary was lying 12th overall, Ronan Collins 33rd, Stefan Hyde 35th and Kieran Dorgan 45th.
Three more qualifying races will be held to-morrow (Wed) before the fleets will be split into Gold and Silver for the final races.
