Seafra Guilfoyle, who took silver at the ISAF Youth Worlds in Portugal a fortnight ago, has again scored a series of top ten results in a 159-boat fleet to come 7th overall in the Laser Radial World Championships in Poland. Despite a black flag disqualification in the second race of the series, Seafra managed to win his way back from 16th last week to 7th overall on Saturday.
‘A black flag cost me a top 5 finish at worlds but still happy with seventh place. Looking forward to a few days off now’, he said.
Also earning a good rest was fellow Royal Cork sailor Cian Byrne, who finished 24 overall. The lads were the best performers in the 7 strong Irish team at the event. Very well done to them both!
