Analise Murphy was the star of the show last weekend in her home club, the National in Dun Laoghaire, for the VonZipper Laser Nationals. Over 120 boats in 3 classes attended the 4 day event. The weather brought something for everyone with wind conditions varying each day for a total of 10 races. The Royal Cork Laser Fleet Class Captain, Nick Walsh, put in a superb performance to finish 7th in the Standard Class – no mean feat considering the first four were current Olympians. Nick also won the Masters class, by some margin. In the Radial class, Patrick Crosbie came 6th overall and Dermot Lyden 11th. Daire Counane finished 11th out of 42 boats in the 4.7 class with Richard Thompson joint 14th and Thomas McGrath 22nd. Well done to all. Best of luck to Seafra Guilfoyle and Cian Byrne who are currently competing in the European Radial Youth Championships in Belgium.
