Killian O’Keeffe Continues to Lead the Optimist Trials

Killian O’Keeffe maintained his consistent form at the trials in Kinsale today posting 14th and 15th in the first two races but recovering very well from these slightly disappointing results to conclude with two second places in the last two races.

Kirsti O’Flynn had an excellent day with four top ten results including a bullet in the third race and a fine third place in the last and ended the day holding on to the final Worlds Team place in fifth place overall.

Richie Harrington maintained close contact with the leading boats and is only 7 points adrift of a Worlds team place.

Amy Harrington lies in 11th place overall. On the current placings this gives her the 1st girl place for the European team.

Conor Lyden started the day brilliantly with a 2nd place and followed it up with a bullet putting him into 15th place overall and within 5 points of a European team place.

Philip Brownlow maintains his top twenty position and first under 12.
