Last Saturday 3rd October, the Royal Cork Yacht Club was host to the first Inter Club Invitational Event kindly sponsored by the Port of Cork and was sailed aboard the ISA J80 fleet. There were a total of eight clubs invited to participate which encompassed among others, the Royal Irish and National Yacht Clubs located in Dun Laoghaire, Baltimore Sailing Club from the West and Waterford Harbour Sailing Club from the East. However after four windward/leeward races had been completed, overall victory went to Monkstown Bay Sailing Club team of Colin Barry, Peter O’Donovan, John Crotty and Michael O’Brien (Pictured below)
