Irish Optimists Outstanding Performance in Brassermermeer – Amsterdam

International Easter Regatta – Brassermermeer – Amsterdam

 Irish Optimist sailors performed extremely well at the prestigious International Easter Regatta in Brassermermeer near Amsterdam  over the Easter period.Alexander Rumball was best over the four days with an 18^th overall.Royal Cork sailor Richard Harrington was next Irish sailor in 33^rd place with Ali Dix and Tara Flood in 50^th and 51^st respectively.Kinsale Yacht Club sailor Eoghan Cudmore finished in 62^nd place  with Patrick Daly from Tralee Bay SC in 84^th rounding out the Gold Fleet. Aodh Kennedy from Kinsale YC collected the prize for winning the Silver Fleet with Holly Campbell from RNIYC finishing close by in 13^th .Royal Cork’s Conor Lyden finished 45^th, Eoin Keller 69^th,Lucy Bolger 75^th  with Michael Magowan and Fiona Daly also finishing in the Silver Fleet. Mark Condy showing the way to success in the Bronze Fleet with Georgina Corbett also finishing in the Bronze Fleet. A very successful trip therefore with great credit due to the coaches Thomas Chaix and George Kingston, and the families who travelled in support.
