The SL16 designed by Yves Loday is the Youth Multihull selected for the ISAF Games in 2010, 2011 and 2012. It has now arrived at the Royal Cork and will stay for approx 4 months.

The Irish Multihull Association aim to give as many Youth Sailors as possible an introduction to Multihull sailing over the next few months, asymmetric spinnaker, twin trapeze and high performance racing.

The bonus would be a Royal Cork Multihull team competing at the ISAF Games in Turkey in July 2010 along with counterparts in the Laser, 420 and 29er catagories. Youth = yonger than 19 years on 31st December 2010. A test sail offer is open to all levels from club sailing to aspirations of an ISAF medal.

On Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd November, the Multihull Fleet will be training from 9am – 5pm both days – we would welcome any Youth Sailors who would like to participate. The Multihull is an open class (girls & boys) designed for a combined crew weight from 120kgs to 140kgs.

Mitch Booth – Tornado Olympic medallist will also be coming to the Royal Cork in April 2010 for coaching.
