Multihull Championship Report
The Irish Multihull travelling season drew to a close the weekend Sept 13th /14th at the Royal Cork Yacht Club, 43 boats have participated in the series from May to September. The Ballyholme Yacht Club Team were rewarded justly for their participation taking home the most silverware. The Prestigious IMA Travellers Trophy award went to Adrian and Mike Allen on the Hurricane 5.9, on a high point scoring system over the 5 Regional events, they topped the league. The Team Travellers Trophy also went North to Ballyholme YC, the points for this trophy were based on the top three results from each club at each event.
A selection UK Spitfires also travelled for the weekends racing in Cork, they also hope to be making a return journey in 2009, when Ireland will host the European Championships for the class for the second time.

The International racing calendar isn’t complete yet, with a selection of the Irish fleet from Ballyholme and Swords in the Hurricane 5.9’s and the Spitfires & single handed Shadow from Blessington all packed on trailers for the weekend 27 – 28 September in Brightlingsea Sailing.
