Welcome to the ILCA Summer Sprint Series 2024. After a hugely successful tri-series event in 2023 which expanded to five locations with a five race sprint regatta held at each of the clubs from June to-September, the series will have the same format in 2024. What a better way to see some of Corks finest sailing harbours in fun, but competitive events.

The series was kicked off in June at Glandore Harbour Sailing Club, followed by Kinsale Yacht Club in July, Bantry Bay Sailing Club in August, Iniscarra Sailing and Kayaking Club and then the finale in Royal Cork. It provides a fantastic opportunity for local sailors to travel to some of Cork’s great sailing venues across the year. The sprint format was used for each regatta with five quick 20-25 minutes races with a single discard on the day. A social barbeque was then hosted at each club to allow sailors and parents get to know each other.

  • Glandore Sprint: Saturday, June 29th
  • Kinsale YC Sprint, July 14th
  • Bantry Bay Sailing Club, August 4th
  • Iniscarra Sailing and Kayaking Club, September 8th
  • Royal Cork Yacht Club Sprint Series Finale, September 22nd
