The ILCA Summer Sprint Series comes to a conclusion on Sunday next at Royal Cork Yacht Club. Five sprint races will be held with the local sprint title on the line as well as the overall series prize.

Sprints have been completed at Kinsale, Bantry, Iniscarra already and a weighting system of 1.5 x will allow sailore to leap up the final standings. Seren Glavin currently leads the ILCA 6 category with twenty one points over Conor Lynch with twenty points. Cathal O’Leary leads the ILCA 4 category.

From last year, the Sprint event at Royal Cork has incorporated a schools fleet race. This allows sailors to represent their school. Scoil Muire Crosshaven won the inaugural event in 2025. An unlimited quantity of sailors can compete with their school, but only the top two scores from any school will count toward the trophy. The SIs contain the scoring system that is used.
