Planning and preparation is now well under way for the summer 2017 junior sailing programme courses and camps at the the Royal Cork Yacht Club. We are confident that our courses will cater for all junior sailors from absolute beginners to seasoned racers. We have a significant increase in the numbers booking in advance with fifty percent of places already filled. It augurs well for the level of course activity this Summer.
Special thanks to parents for their co operation in this regard after our request for early booking at the junior laying up supper. Procedures, policies and ratios need to be in place for health and safety reasons and it is imperative that we know our numbers well in advance in order to organise the resources required.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Arran Walsh as club senior instructor for the coming season and we wish him well in this important role. We have also had over fifty applications for the roles of instructors , assistant instructors and helpers, predominately from our own club members who wish to work here over the summer months. This volume of activity shows the strength and depth of quality junior sailors we have coming through our club and it is fantastic to witness.
