Last Friday was the last race in the UK Sailmakers IHS May League at RCYC. It was a perfect night with 5 to 10 knts from the south. RO’s Lenny Donnery and Tom Kirby set a great course from a grassy start to No. 6 back to No. 5 cage No. 6 and finish. they had to shorten the course at Cage as the wind was fading away for the fleet. Roy Hanan and Pat Barrett’s Plumbat led the fleet around the course only to passed just meters from the finish line by Batt O Leary on Sweet Dreams. Sweet Dreams finish third with Tom McCarthy’s Whistling Dixie finishing Second and Plumbat first, on the night.
