Fitness for Fun Programme  Visit to Munster Rugby Training Ground

The Fitness for Fun Programme for Club Juniors is proving very popular. As well as weekly gym classes, 16:30 on Thursday afternoons at Energie in Mahon, the sailors recently attended a session on nutrition. Professional dietician Anneliese Dressel debunked the myths on a lot of so called ‘health foods’, informed us of the benefit of healthy eating habits and gave a practical demonstration on how to make delicious and nutritious power balls.

Coming up, on July 22nd is a visit to the Munster rugby training centre at CIT. The juniors will see first-hand what pre-season training comprises for Munster Rugby players, and also receive a private lecture from Munster Rugby’s Performance Nutritionist Catherine Norton on what you should keep in mind when you are training. We have an additional 20 places for this visit, which will be allocated on a first response basis. Please email the club  with your name and contact details.

The visit stats at 10:00 on Wednesday 22nd July, the training centre in CIT is at the back of the od Tyco building on Melbourne Road. Car parking pace are very limited so try and car share with other parents.
