Race report and results Day 1
The Championships started off right on time under the direction of Richard Leonard. The sea breeze was fresher than expected and remained steady all afternoon enabling four races to be run back to back. Sailing conditions were excellent it was not long before spectators were aware that this was going to be a closely contested series with excellent displays of skill, persistence and indeed swimming! Race 1 saw chaos at the weather mark taking out a few of the leading boats but local sailors Richard and Amy Harrington got through to take line honours, closely followed by Mark Condy and Andrew Harry from Howth with Richard Roberts and Robbie English of RCYC taking a third.
