David is now off on the last offshore leg of the 2013 Generali-Solo.  300 miles to Sete via a tiny island off the Spanish coast just over the border.  It will be relatively slow with a lot of transitions from one wind pattern to the next to manage.  It will probably take three days.   David says “I started OK but lost touch early on with a decision to go to the coast looking for a bit better wind.  It didn’t work and I cut my losses and am now at the back but really close to the pack and in phase.  I need to stay on the case through tonight , Tuesday and part of Wednesday”.

What a truly wonderful year for this young Cork sailor whose ambition knows no bounds and appears to have found a very hard and exciting path in life at which he is growing and excelling in every day.
