Darrens Coaching Up And Running For New Season

As Darren O’ Keeffe watched activity in the club dinghy park last Saturday morning, he must have been very proud to see that the launch of this years six week programme still bears his name by all in sundry. Thank you again Darren for your many years of previous organising.

Time moves on and now thanks to Rae Power and Gail Enright , numbers were strong and the weather ideal for the nearly seventy aspiring sailors who took part in the first day of the six week dinghy sailing programme for existing or new cub members.

Both optimists and two man dinghies were on hand for sailors to experience in a safe environment and thank you also to the many experienced junior club members who gave of their time to support the new recruits.

This introductory programme will continue each Saturday morning for a further five weeks ( subject to appropriate weather conditions) and is open to all existing and new members who wish to join as cadet members for the current year.
