Each year the three local Crosshaven National Schools participate in the Royal Cork Club’s Schools Sailing Programme.

The programme was initiated by Rear Admiral Cruising John Roche in order to get local children involved in sailing. The three schools are the Boys National School, Girls National School and Templebreedy National School.

The photographs by Senior Instructor Andrew Verso are of the children and their instructors and school teachers at Roches Point where a pod of dolphins put on the performance of a lifetime. Needless to say it was the highlight of the day.

The course will finish this Wed June 20th with a trip to Spike Island.
