Cove Sailing Club were one of the lucky event organisers this year so far to be blessed with a truly splendid sailing day for their At Home 2015. The sun shone, the sea sparkled, the wind blew and family sailors were very obviously enjoying competition and sailing and that really is what it should be all about

The harbour was alive with craft of every description , with a naval presence very much in evidence, and one could be very proud of the personnel and ships that represent our country so well. Today there were three of the naval fleet in the harbour,  Long Éireannach James Joyce, the newest of the fleet,  Long Éireannach Eithne and  Long Éireannach Roisín.

There were several commercial ships entering and leaving the harbour and a lot of smaller dinghies flying around and what seemed an awful lot of RIBS all looking very stylish indeed.

Another sight to gladden the eyes was the ramp in place for the new CSC Sailing Club Marina, another development in the harbour, and all credit to CSC for their work on this project.DSC_0067DSC_0060DSC_0056DSC_0008DSC_0026
