The Closing Cruising Muster will take place to Marlogue on Saturday, September 12th 2009
For this year’s event, the Cruising Committee are abandoning the traditional Saturday afternoon raft-up north of Great Island (at the top of East Ferry), in favour of an alternative “fun” event which we believe will prove very attractive to all participants. At this time we are not releasing details of the afternoon event, but would ask skippers of participating vessels to assemble in the Club bar at 12.30 hours on Saturday 12th for a briefing regarding the plans for the afternoon activities, with the intention that boats depart the Club at 13.30 hours. Our plans for the afternoon are designed to ensure that all boats will be in a position to arrive at East Ferry Marina by 18.00 hours, where overnight berthing has been arranged, with drinks at the Marlogue Inn at 19.30 hours, followed by dinner. For those planning to participate in the afternoon frolics, we recommend that you make no special plans for afternoon food, etc., aboard your own vessels
We need to be in a position to (a) advise the marina at East Ferry of the number of vessels that will require berths on Saturday night and (b) advise the restaurant at the Marlogue Inn of the numbers dining at the earliest possible opportunity. All those planning to participant are therefore requested to advise the Club office of boat details (name and LOA) and crew numbers dining by Wednesday next, September 9th at the latest.
